On 25th June 2009, with the blessings of Dr. Kailash ‘Manav’ the Founder and Managing Trustee of Narayan SewaSansthan (Trust) Udaipur, his daughter Smt. Kalpana Goyal founded Tara Sansthan with the resolve of service to the suffering poor people. Smt. Kalpana Goyal was initiated into humanitarian service-endeavors at the tender age of 12-13 years with the assignment of collecting a handful of flour from the neighboring homes for feeding the attending companions of poor patients in General Hospital, Udaipur by her father.
Her active association with Narayan SewaSansthan for over 25 years inspired her to take up specific service activities independently, and the result is Tara Sansthan inspired her to take up specific service activities independently, and the result is Tara Sansthan which started its first humanitarian endeavor called "Tara Netralaya", Udaipur - the Eye Hospital devoted to provide eye care and free eye cataract operations to the poor and the needy.
The condition of the aging people in our society in general, is not quite well. The poor, helpless and lonely people residing in rural and remote areas are in even worse state. They face illness and starvation, etc. due to severe poverty.
